The Tanzania National Stars team today advanced to the next stage of the Chan Championship after defeating Kenya.
Ninety minutes were completed for all teams to lose power and were decided to go on penalties.
Tanzania won by 4 penalties while Kenya nailed 1 penalty. Guardsman Juma Kaseja today kicked two penalties while Stars striked Erasto Nyoni, Paul Godfrey, Gadiel Michael and the final nail by Salim Aiyee.
The next game for the Stars is against Sudan in the second round before qualifying for the Championship.
